Estación Biológica de Doñana (EBD-CSIC) - Spain (European Union)

Carlos Camacho is a tenure-track researcher at Estación Biológica de Doñana (CSIC) in Spain. He is an evolutionary ecologist interested in understanding the ecological and evolutionary mechanisms that shape life history, morphological, and behavioural traits in natural populations. His empirical research often uses birds as a model. Carlos manages a long-term study of red-necked nightjars (Caprimulgus ruficollis) that combines longitudinal and cross-sectional data to address basic questions in evolutionary ecology and applied questions in conservation biology.
